Iron Gwazi, other upcoming SeaWorld parks roller coasters delayed to 2021
SeaWorld Entertainments has confirmed that four upcoming coasters that were set to open this year have officially been delayed to 2021, including the highly-anticipated Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
The confirmation came from this morning’s Q2 Earnings Conference Call, and revealed that the following roller coasters would have their grand openings moved to sometime next year:
- Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
- Ice Breaker at SeaWorld Orlando
- Pantheon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg
- Emperor at SeaWorld San Diego
This news comes as quite a disappointment for theme park fans looking forward to these new attractions. For now, it appears that we’ll have to wait just a little longer.
If Iron Gwazi is delayed till next year, then why are they doing test runs. I can understand Icebreaker at SWO, but Iron Gwazi is for the most part finished. It makes no sense.
I agree
I was just there 3 days ago… there are HUGE sections of track missing and unfinished.
LOL. Get your eyes checked.
Probably because it’s pointless to spend all that money on marketing a grand opening if so few guests are willing to come right now. It makes more sense to promote an opening when it will actually pay off in attendance.
They were just testing iron gwazi the other day with 2 trains on track
