Island H2O now has a little library

Little Free Library has opened a “branch” in the Island H2O water park at Sunset Walk in Kissimmee, Fla., ramping up the relaxation for guests who would like to soak up the sun while reading a good book.

The non-profit initiative is part of the Osceola Library System’s goal of building community and inspiring readers while providing free books through The Little Free Library program, which encourages those who borrow a book to also leave a book for other visitors to borrow.

Island H2O is the only water park in Central Florida to feature a Little Free Library, and park-goers can find it near the Live! Lagoon wave pool.

“We are constantly striving to improve the visitor experience,” said Jim Kunau, general manager for Island H2O water park. “Our Little Free Library operates as a book exchange program where park goers can borrow books just like at the library, while also having the opportunity to leave a book of their own for others to enjoy.”

Starting in September 2022, the water park will offer 50% off single-day admission tickets, through November 27, 2022 to guests who show their library card at the gate.
