Islands of Adventure fan podcast launching for park’s 25th birthday
“Recalled to Adventure,” a fan-created podcast, will celebrate the history of Universal Islands of Adventure for the park’s 25th anniversary.

Islands of Adventure opened May 28, 1999 as the second theme park at Universal Orlando Resort (at the time called Universal Studios Escape).
A quarter-century later, two fans will dive into the creation of the park in “Recalled to Adventure,” a history-focused Islands of Adventure podcast. All episodes drop May 28, 2024.
Interviews with the Park’s Creators
“Recalled to Adventure” will feature interviews with:
- Lisa Girolami, Seuss Landing show producer
- Adrian Gorton, Port of Entry art director
- John Rust, Islands of Adventure soundtrack producer
- Bob Shreve, Jurassic Park show producer
- Christopher Stapleton, Toon Lagoon show producer
- Robert Waddell, Poseidon’s Fury VFX producer
The podcast will be hosted by Emmy winners Holly Schultz (co-host of the “Skylanders: Portal Casters” podcast) and Maya Lord (TikTok microinfluencer).
The show’s name references “The Call to Adventure,” the instrumental theme of Islands of Adventure.
