Jackbox Games, the studio that released the best-selling party games “You Don’t Know Jack” and “The Jackbox Party Pack,” has launched “Celebrity Jackbox: Games & Giving,” a new live-streaming series featuring famous guests playing Jackbox Games at home to support nonprofit organizations in need of relief.
The show first made its debut this past Friday, May 1, on Twitch, YouTube, Mixer, and Facebook Live, with future episodes airing on Fridays at 9 p.m. Eastern/6 p.m. Pacific. There will be 10 episodes in total.
Every episode will feature a new crew of celebrities playing a variety of Jackbox games while highlighting a new organization responding to those in need. Jackbox Games will make a $100,000 donation to each featured organization, for a combined $1 million in donations over the course of the series.
The first episode featured Finn Wolfhard (“Stranger Things,” “It”), Thomas Middleditch (“Silicon Valley,” “Middleditch & Schwartz”), Ben Schwartz (“Sonic the Hedgehog,” “Middleditch & Schwartz”), Jillian Bell (“Brittany Runs a Marathon,” “Workaholics”), and Josh Hutcherson (“Future Man,” “Hunger Games”) in support of Direct Relief, which helps provide protective gear and critical care medications to healthcare workers.
As an added bonus, fans can play along at home by going to Jackbox.tv on their mobile device, enter the onscreen code, and influence the outcome of each game by voting for their favorite answers and award bonus points to players.
Future episodes will air on Friday, May 8; Friday, May 15; Friday, May 22; Friday, May 29; and Friday, June 5. Additional episode dates will be announced soon.
