UPDATE – 04/22/21, 5:58 p.m. ET: Universal has reached out to team members to let them know that a team member preview for the Jurassic World VelociCoaster is not officially open for registration, and has canceled all previous RSVPs. Team members will be notified of a future opportunity to experience the new coaster once registration is open.

Emails were sent out to passholders, offering the chance to sign up to experience the VelociCoaster before its grand opening on June 10, 2021. While all RSVPs have been claimed, the previews will take place at select times from Sunday, May 2 through Wednesday, May 5. Previews for Universal Orlando team members will take place next week.

Due to limited capacity, an RSVP is required to take part in the preview — so, for now, if you didn’t get to secure your spot, you won’t get to ride early as there will not be a standby line. However, Jurassic World VelociCoaster is now in technical rehearsal, so there is always a possibility that it could open to regular day guests; this isn’t a guarantee, so you’ll have to check on the day of your visit.

Those who did get a reservation, however, will be asked to bring a photo ID and their annual pass to their ride time in order to experience the attraction. Check-in will be down the pathway between The Watering Hole and Jurassic Park Discovery Center, where a team member will confirm the reservation. Guests will also be asked to provide the QR code provided in their confirmation email.

Did you secure a spot for the passholder or team member previews for Jurassic World VelociCoaster? Or are you holding out for a soft-opening for regular guests? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.

  1. I’m pretty pissed off — didn’t even get an email about this and I’ve been a Passholder for years!!!

  2. I’m actually a little upset! I was reserving spots for me and my son to come to the preview when it closed all spots. I got mine in and not my sons in a matter of 60 seconds. Now I can come because I will not ride in front of him. Very disappointed!!!
