There are quite a few live dinner shows in Orlando, Fla. with themes such as Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show and Pirates Dinner Adventure, but Country Nights Live is a welcome addition.

Country Nights Live

We were invited to experience the only country-themed dinner show in the area, and the delicious food, amazing performers, and friendly servers made for a lovely hoedown-themed evening.

It’s More Than Just Dinner and a Show

The southern-style meal begins with warm cornbread. While cornbread is often heavy, this is the fluffiest cornbread I have ever enjoyed. For the main course, we were served country fried chicken, country-style pork ribs, buttered mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. Everything was great, but the chicken was so tender, it fell off the bone.

The show begins soon after dinner is served, so while we enjoyed our meal, we were literally surrounded by phenomenal dancers, all while listening to live performances of classic country songs by Alan Jackson, Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton, and more.

The second half of the show is a bit more interactive and the audience is invited to participate. Guests can get on stage to learn some line dancing (for those who prefer not to be in the spotlight, there is also a dance floor off the stage).

However, if you’re looking forward to line dancing, this is not the time to be shy. Except for a few dances, the performers were the only ones line dancing, and while they were eager to teach the dances, they’re not going to drag you on the dance floor or the stage. That means, if you’re want to “boot, scoot and boogie” you need to make it happen. If dancing is not for you, feel free to stay in your seat and listen to the live band, The Barnyard Boys Trio.

Also be sure not to wander away from your table for too long, because dessert arrives during the second half of the show.

Country Nights Live Isn’t Their First Rodeo

The creators of Country Nights Live, Orlando Dinner Entertainment are also the creators of Pirates Dinner Adventure.

“Pirates Dinner Adventure has been offering family-friendly entertainment to Central Florida for more than 25 years and we’re always looking for new experiences to bring our guests,” said Show Director Nick Kroger. “Country Nights Live allows our guests to become part of the show and is sure to create memories that last a lifetime.”

If you’ve experienced Pirates Dinner Adventure, Country Nights Live is located in the same building (in the same spot as Teatro Martini), but it’s quite different. Expect a smaller, more personal experience.

Showtimes are Thursday – Saturday at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. so you can come early for drinks and appetizers. Dinner service begins at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $69.95 for adults and $42.95 for kids ages 3-10. Each ticket includes a three-course meal (soup or salad, choice of entrée, and dessert). Add-ons and upgrades are available, and there is a full bar.
