Six Flags Magic Mountain announces Scream Break haunt event

Theme parks have been using haunts and food festivals to draw crowds for years, and Six Flags Magic Mountain has just announced Scream Break – a spooky after-hours event – plus the Tacos & Beer food festival, both starting in March.

Who says spring break can’t be scary? Certainly not Six Flags Magic Mountain. Next month, the park is not only introducing a new springtime haunt, but also a new Tacos & Beer Fest.

Fans of the spooky season might want to visit Southern California during the Spring Break season. Six Flags Magic Mountain’s new Scream Break event will run from 9:00 p.m. to midnight on Friday through Sunday nights for 14 evenings, March 18-April 16, 2023.

Guests purchasing tickets to this separately-ticketed event can enter the park at 7:30 p.m. Although the after-hours event is not included with season passes or Six Flags memberships, a special Extreme Scream Break Pass can be purchased, entitling guests to attend all 14 nights and receive free parking.

Scream Break will offer two haunted mazes and three scare zones. Also, guests can dance at a “Dead Man’s Party” in the DC Universe area and the Full Throttle Plaza, and ride several coasters during the night, including Wonder Woman Flight of Courage, Full Throttle, Goliath, Batman The Ride, Twisted Colossus, and Scream.

Six Flags Tacos & Beer Fest

Six Flags Magic Mountain’s new Tacos & Beer Fest will serve up an assortment of specialty tacos, exclusive desserts, and unique beverages daily March 9-April 16, 2023.

The Tacos & Beer Fest Tasting Pass includes six tastes to help guests enjoy these new food festival offerings like spicy shredded pork and tri-tip tacos, plant-based tacos, keto-friendly tacos wrapped in lettuce, dessert tacos, and chicken wonton tacos.

Guests can also satisfy their sweet tooth with goodies such as kettle corn, Asian donuts, and caramel apple pastries. Specialty beverages range from mocktails to spring bling sour. Six Flags Magic Mountain wants guests to know that craft and seasonal beers can also be found on your Spring break adventure; however, alcoholic beverages cannot be purchased with the Tacos & Beer Fest Tasting Pass.

Special discounts will also be available on Mondays through Thursdays, from March 13 through April 16, 2023, including Double Ride Days, where visitors can get back-to-back rides on attractions like Goliath, Scream, Batman The Ride, and The Riddler’s Revenge. Two-for-one discounts will also be offered on select food and merchandise in the park. These discounts apply for items such as burgers, funnel cakes, and scoops of ice cream.
