Kingdom Hearts joins magical forces with Disney and Pixar’s ‘Onward’

To celebrate the release of Disney and Pixar’s latest animated feature in Japan, Square Enix has announced the launch of a new limited-time “Onward-“themed event in its epic mobile role-playing game “Kingdom Hearts Union χ.”

Now through Sept. 1, 2020, players can take part in a variety of magical challenges that will allow them to earn in-game medals modeled after the animated film’s lead characters, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, a pair of teenage elf brothers who set off on an ambitious quest to reunite with their father and rediscover the magic that once existed in their world.

The Medals

• Special Login Bonus – As a special login bonus during the campaign period, players can collect the brand-new Ian Lightfoot Medal and corresponding Trait Medals as well as other rewards.
• Weekly Jewel Extravaganza – Players will receive the Ian & Barley Medal, as well as Jewels, the corresponding Trait Medals, and access to special quests, by purchasing this pack (available Aug. 24, 2020).
• Event Reward – Players can earn the Barley Lightfoot Medal and corresponding Trait Medals through a special in-game themed event.
