‘Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory’ playable demo now available
Kingdom Hearts players, rejoice! A sneak-peek playable demo of “Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory” has been launched in advance of the full version’s Nov. 13 release.

The “Kingdom Hearts” series has sold more than 33 million units world-wide, and on Nov. 13 a new addition to the beloved games will debut. But players don’t have to wait until the release date to get a taste of what’s to come.

Music and adventure combine as Square Enix and Disney launch a demo for the rhythm action game, “Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory,” with six classic tracks from the Kingdom Hearts universe. These sneak-peek tracks are “All for One,” “Hand in Hand,” “Sinister Shadows,” “The Rustling Forest,” “Wave of Darkness I,” and “Welcome to Wonderland.”
The full version lets players battle their way through the soundtrack as one of 20 Kingdom Hearts characters, fighting alongside Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Play on your own, with a friend in local co-op, or with other gamers in online multiplayer, collecting and mastering more than 140 songs from the series, including “Destiny Islands” and “Working Together” by legendary composer Yoko Shimomura.

Explore fascinating worlds, such as Agrabah, Atlantica, and Twilight Town, and defeat tough foes in Boss Battles as you immerse in the magic of music through rhythm-fueled challenges on your way to achieving top ranks, and keep an eye out for helpful Disney characters, including Aladdin, The Beast, Hercules, and Mulan, who make “guest appearances” in the game.
There are several difficulty levels, from beginner to extra-challenging, so that players of all ages and skills can be successful, and play can be further customized through “play styles.” Experience the adventure at a relaxed pace, or choose “performer mode” for the ultimate challenge.

Playing on Nintendo Switch? “Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory” is the first in the series to appear on this platform, with a choice of three levels of difficulty: enjoy the songs and adventure without complicated controls, or go full-on gamer mode with complex combos. Up to seven other players can join in on Free-for-All battle mode via local play.

“Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory” has an E10+ rating, and will be available in North and South America for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One family of devices, including Xbox One X.
Download the demo from the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Microsoft Store, and pre-order the full physical or digital version of the game from the Square Enix store, the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and other select retailers in advance of its Nov. 13 release.
As an added bonus, those who purchase for PlayStation 4 by Dec. 31, 2020, will also receive the “Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory” theme, which will unlock when the game launches.
