Kings Island fireworks will end a day in the Ohio amusement park in high style this summer, with a longer, heavily enhanced show starting May 28, 2022.
In celebration of the park’s 50th anniversary, the nightly fireworks show has been extended from approximately three minutes long to a duration of 14 minutes.
Additional enhancements to the spectacular include laser projections on International Street, 200 synchronized drones, fire bursts, and special lighting effects, plus a new anniversary song. The bursts will also launch from multiple locations around the park.
Actor Barry Williams, best known as Greg Brady from the television show, “The Brady Bunch,” narrates a tribute to the park’s history during the fireworks extravaganza, and will be in attendance on May 28 to kick off the celebration.
Williams was part of the cast when “The Brady Bunch” filmed an episode titled “Cincinnati Kids” at Kings Island in 1973.
During a day in the park, visitors can experience The Beast wooden roller coaster, with its extended track and steeper drop after an off-season retracking, and enjoy the major makeover of the park’s Grand Carousel, enhanced for the 50th anniversary celebration. .
