Knott’s chef dishes out details about Knott’s Boysenberry Festival
Knott’s Berry Farm’s Boysenberry Festival will be back in full swing from March 8 through April 28, 2024, with new and returning boysenberry bites and sips.

The food and wine festival brings back boysenberry lovers’ favorite dishes while stepping things up a notch with a welcome addition of new diverse offerings. Knott’s Berry Farm’s Executive Chef Andre Lane was happy to dish out all the exciting new tidbits about what makes this year’s menu so unique.
“I really think this year was about bringing everybody together and bringing a lot of different flavor profiles of different cultures,” Said Chef Lane. “There’s a lot of great food that doesn’t just scream ‘boysenberry’ but ‘flavor.’”
This year, the Knott’s Boysenberry festival offers two dozen different food and drink items. Guests can indulge in diverse offerings such as chicken tikka masala with boysenberry curry, boysenberry pulled pork over pastel de elote, and a roasted vegetable wrap with boysenberry tahini sauce, just to name a few.
“It’s about what’s the best product that guests can enjoy,” Chef Lane added. “If the food can connect with somebody that much where they want to come back and do it again, that’s a win.”
It’s not only new and different flavors, however, as many fan favorites are returning, including the boysenberry BBQ wings and the next evolution of the boysenberry funnel cake (now with banana pudding).
Those who previously chose to sit on the sidelines due to dietary restrictions have nothing to worry about this year as the festival menu has taken extra initiative to focus on vegan and vegetarian dishes for those seeking a plant-based experience, including the roasted zucchini wrap, boysenberry parfait with chia, and a vegetarian portobello caprese with boysenberry balsamic.
For older visitors who might need a bit of liquid refresher to keep their spirits high, the festival has a robust selection of alcoholic options like boysenberry mojitos, Moscow mules, beer flights, and more.
Of course, no theme park festival would be complete without brand-new, limited-edition merchandise opportunities and boysenberry fanatics can once again eat and wear their berry appreciation this year. Products sold at the festival include Boysenberry Cocoa and Cookie Shot containers and wearable “pie slice” slippers for those needing a long nap after a busy Knotts-filled day.
Knott’s Berry Farm historians might also notice the colorful addition of a certain bright-eyed berry hitting the shelves this year. The Boysenberry Festival is happy to welcome back their vintage character, Betty, an obscure character from the park’s past, now happily available in plush form.
Knotts Berry Farm’s Boysenberry Festival runs every day from March 8 to April 7 and Fridays through Sundays from April 12 to 28, 2024. Stop by and enjoy the food, live music, and seasonal offerings that only happen once a year.
