Knott’s Peanuts Celebration returns for a season of fun on Jan. 22
The Knott’s Peanuts Celebration is on its way back to Knott’s Berry Farm, and invites guests to step into the world of Charles M. Schulz’ comic strips as the characters take over the entire park.
Taking place daily from Jan. 22 through March 6, the limited-time event offers family-friendly options for guests to play and interact with the Peanuts gang throughout Knott’s Berry Farm. This year’s event includes a new stage show, a new Charles Schulz exhibit, plus new Peanuts-inspired food items, and a brand-new walk-around character.
At the Calico Mine Stage, the Peanuts characters will debut a brand-new musical, “It’s Your Life, Charlie Brown.” During the day, Charlie Brown gets the shock of his life on the game show, “It’s Your Life!” There will be music, fun, and some surprise guests, including Snoopy himself! The stage will transform at nightfall into a musical extravaganza as the park hosts Woodstock’s Musical Festival, featuring the Peanuts gang joined by the family-friendly indie band, The Jelly of the Month Club.
The Peanuts-inspired activities continue at the Bird Cage Theatre, where guests can take part in the Peanuts Sketch School. Hosted by Knott’s resident art teacher, guests will learn step-by-step how to create the perfect Peanuts masterpiece.
At Calico’s Town Hall, a new family-friendly Peanuts-inspired exhibit will be open for guests to explore. Titled “Take Care with Peanuts,” the exhibit invites guests to laugh together at the fun and foibles of the Peanuts gang as they grapple with some of life’s biggest questions and ideas. Guests will also be able to see some of the inspiration behind the popular themes of Peanuts through Schulz’s comic strips, photos and drawings.
In Calico Park, Franklin and Linus will transform into cowboys in the Peanuts Cowboy Jamboree as they challenge guests to games! Also in Ghost Town is Pigpen’s Pig Pen, where everyone’s favorite messy pal will join the rest of the Peanuts gang for a special meet-up at the Livery Stables with some of his animal friends.
Those heading into Camp Snoopy during the celebration will find the Camp Snoopy Theater featuring the Music Goes ‘Round and Around during the day. The Grand Sierra Railroad will also host a one-of-a-kind adventure as riders travel with the Peanuts to the Beagle Bonanza.
While visiting Fiesta Village, guests can uncover a Discoteca de Silencio — a silent disco! Participants simply strap on a set of headphones and enjoy the upbeat tunes as Snoopy’s brother, Spike, hosts the party.
And, just in time for Peanuts Celebration, the DJs of K-Not Radio will spin Peanuts music, with a few special guests likely to appear. At Boardwalk BBQ, guests can grab a seat and a plate as they enjoy the sounds of The James Street Trio as they perform a tribute to the music of Vince Guaraldi.
