Knott’s Berry Farm undergoes its annual not-too-spooky transformation into Knott’s Spooky Farm this fall, with themed activities, trick-or-treating, Halloween inspired shows, and pumpkin decorating.

Ghost Town’s Main Street, Schoolhouse Road, and Gold Mine Trail make up the trick-or-treating path where kids can load up on ghoulish delights while meeting spooky but friendly shopkeepers. Carnival games are also found in this area, and children are encouraged, but not required, to show off their Halloween costumes during the event.

Bring a little “creepy” into the celebration with a visit to Creepy Critters of Calico at the Livery Stable in Creepy Critters Corral, where guests can get an up-close view of spiders, bugs, and other creepy-crawlies.

While visiting Calico Park, guests can enjoy the Pumpkin Patch, a picture-perfect spot for seasonal photos.

Cookie and miniature pumpkin decorating takes place in Ghost Town, for a fee, while Calico Mine Stage is the place where children can join in on the fun of the Calico Carnival Costume Cavalcade costume parade hosted by the Calico Mayor and Cameo Kate.

More kid-friendly fun can be found at Birdcage Theatre, where the “Bob Baker Marionette Theatre Show” spooky puppet show adds a Halloween flair.

“Great Pumpkin Palooza” high-energy musical show gets families rockin’ with Snoopy and his friends at the Camp Snoopy Theater.

Kids can also play out the classic scene from the animated movie “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” joining Linus and Sally in the Pumpkin Patch as they wait for The Great Pumpkin.

Timber Mountain Log Ride also undergoes a transformation during the event as it celebrates the Halloween Hootenanny with the citizens of Timber Mountain and the creatures who live in the area’s woods and caverns. Riders will pass by the Calico Coffin Creeper Band and the Green Witch before splashing down Skull Mountain, all set to an original song performed by Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies.

Calico Mine Ride takes on a fantasy twist as it morphs into a candy wonderland where youngsters might just spot the Pink Fairy.

The Halloween season’s evenings take a dark turn as Knott’s Scary Farm fills with frights during its separately-tickets event on Fridays and Saturdays.

Daytime fun during Knott’s Spooky Farm is included with park admission.
