L.A. welcomes new immersive escape rooms
Immersive entertainment industry leader 60out is opening a flagship location at HHLA (formerly Promenade at Howard Hughes Center) with the west coast’s most innovative escape rooms.
When it opens this summer, 60out will be the first entertainment location with two officially licensed games under one roof: The Smurfs and Godzilla vs. Kong. Other attractions will include Titanic, Casino Heist, Hotel on Road 66 (based on a true crime story), and a VR experience with more than 30 live-action journeys.
“We are excited to provide guests with new and unparalleled interactive adventures,” said 60out CEO Ilya Vradiy. “From the moment guests step inside, they will be transported to imaginative worlds where excitement, mystery, and challenges await.”
60out was the first escape room company to secure a major IP license with Sony’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in 2017. For this new entertainment center – which cost nearly $3 million to build – the award-winning company has employed cutting-edge technology, detailed set design, and props to create “the most realistic and unrivaled escape rooms available.”
“We have elevated escape rooms and gaming into fully interactive and life-like adventures through the latest technology, elaborate special effects, and immersive themes,” Vradiy said. “We have invested heavily to create the most realistic and unrivaled games that will turn L.A. upside down with exciting new experiences.”
In addition to the new location at HHLA (near Los Angeles International Airport), 60out has four other L.A.-area locations:
- 60out Melrose featuring Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Ghost Ship, Grandma’s Masterplan, Mafia, Alice in Wonderland, Dracula, and 10 VR games
- 60out Hollywood featuring an all-new Wizard’s Treasure, along with Doctor Psycho, Red Alert, and Da Vinci’s Secret
- 60out Koreatown featuring Time Machine, Nautilus, The Orphanage, and Turing Test
- 60out Silver Lake featuring Cartel: DEA Undercover, Amityville, Hyde Circus, Houdini, and Wicked Witch
The new flagship 60out location will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to10 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Click here for more information and to make reservations.
