Legoland Florida and California just added a Pokémon surprise
Pokémon fans have been waiting for U.S. based theme parks to finally offer experiences featuring the characters they love. Now, Legoland Florida Resort and Legoland California Resort have an unexpected Pokémon bonus waiting for them this summer.

Both parks have announced that LEGO Pokémon will headline the new Play Zone during LEGO Festival 2026, giving families opportunities to experience the new LEGO Pokémon SMART Play system. But that’s not all.
The limited-time experience lets guests step into the role of a Pokémon Trainer through interactive building challenges designed around five different Pokémon.

LEGO Pokémon activities coming to Legoland
You can build a snack for your Pokémon and watch it react using LEGO SMART Play technology. While there, create and display a LEGO Poké Ball.
Perhaps best of all is the chance to learn how to nurture, train and battle Pokémon in the interactive Trainer Center. And don’t forget to take photos with a giant LEGO Pikachu model.

The activities are designed to showcase the new screen-free LEGO Pokémon SMART Play system, which encourages hands-on, social play through interactive building experiences.
“LEGO Pokémon brings an exciting new way for families to play together at this year’s LEGO Festival,” said Brian Bacica, president of Legoland Florida Resort.
At Legoland California Resort, President Kurt Stocks added, “LEGO Pokémon is the perfect partner to bring families together this summer in San Diego for play without limits. Pokémon has inspired generations of fans, and LEGO Festival gives families the chance to build, explore and bring that adventure to life together through hands-on play.”
