Legoland water ski shows ending after nearly a century in Florida
The water ski stunt show will conclude its nearly 100-year tradition of performances at Legoland Florida (formerly Cypress Gardens).

“Brickbeard’s Water Stunt Show” will perform for the final time at Legoland Florida on Dec. 30, 2024. The production — which features fly-boarding, wakeboarding, and barefoot skiing — follows a tradition going back nearly a century with Cypress Gardens, predating Legoland’s arrival to this space. A Legoland spokesperson confirmed the show’s closure to Attractions Magazine on Dec. 12, 2024.

The full statement from Legoland reads:
The ski show has been a beloved part of our history, and while we are glad it created lasting memories for families over the years, we are excited to bring new entertainment offerings to our guests, which include a new Sea Life Aquarium and an awesome new attraction we’ll soon be announcing, which will be out of this world!
It wasn’t an easy decision to make, but we encourage fans of “Brickbeard’s Water Stunt Show” to come and enjoy it before its final show on Dec. 30! Holidays at Legoland presented by the Hallmark Channel is in full swing with elves taking over the park, a giant Lego Christmas tree, delicious holiday treats, and festive entertainment throughout the day.

Some tips for guests looking to see the water ski show at Legoland one last time:
- The show is not performed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Showtimes on performance days through Dec. 20, 2024 are 12, 2, & 4 p.m.
- Showtimes on performance days from Dec. 21-30, 2024 can be accessed on Legoland’s website closer to those dates. Guests can also consult the Legoland Florida app on the day of their visit.
- Noise-canceling headphones are available by request at the viewing area.
Cypress Gardens botanical gardens opened in 1939, and water stunt shows have been performed on Lake Eloise since the 1930s, according to Legoland’s website. Legoland Florida opened in 2011; the botanical gardens are now part of the theme park.
