Live-action ‘Lilo & Stitch’ is looking for its Lilo
Casting directors are still looking for actors for the live-action “Lilo & Stitch” movie, including a young girl to play Lilo.
The 2002 Disney animated movie tells the story of a Hawaiian girl who adopts a “dog” that’s actually an extraterrestrial creature genetically engineered to cause chaos and destruction. But when Lilo welcomes Stitch into her “ohana,” he reconsiders his destructive ways to protect his newfound family.
According to Hawaii News Now, Ohana Casting Group casting director Rachel Whitley Sutton describes the role as “a girl who’s about 6 to 8 years old, loves hula, surfing and wildlife — and has a special affinity for all things ‘gross.’”
The live-action “Lilo & Stitch” is set to premiere in 2024. Send an email here for more information.
