Lost Continent adds ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ overlay at Islands of Adventure
We have dragons—again. On May 23, 2025, décor, photo ops, and merchandise for the new live-action “How to Train Your Dragon” movie appeared throughout The Lost Continent in Universal Islands of Adventure park.
One day after the official grand opening of Universal Epic Universe and its highly-themed How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk world, dragons have made their way to the resort’s north campus to promote the live-action movie premiering on June 13, 2025.
While a Deadly Nadder like Astrid’s dragon Stormfly has been spotted in the park, fans can also pose for photos with a life-sized Toothless.
Signs written in Viking script point the way to the “How to Train Your Dragon” merchandise.
Items from both the upcoming movie and Isle of Berk world in Epic Universe are available in Islands of Adventure.
However, there is one important distinction: The theming, décor, and merchandise at Universal Epic Universe feature the animated franchise; the only place to find live-action merchandise in that park is inside Sensorium Emporium at the entrance to Celestial Park.
