Fans will become stars of 42nd Street starting in early June, thanks to this new, live-action experience.

“Seeing a show on Broadway is a bucket list requirement for many people when visiting New York City,” said Tom Middleton, General Manager at Madame Tussauds New York. “Now, your Broadway experience doesn’t have to stop when you leave the theater. You can literally be a part of the glamour and see firsthand what it takes to make a Broadway show happen every night.”

Upon entering the experience, you’ll be immediately transported behind the scenes of a Broadway show and become a star. Stop at the Broadway Bar for a cocktail before being taken off by live actors and the magic of being backstage.

As the experience unfolds, guests are welcomed by the Phantom of the Opera for a unique behind-the-scenes experience. Inside a labyrinth of mirrors, ropes, pulleys and props, guests will travel through many of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s masterpieces, including “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Evita,” “Sunset Boulevard” and “Cats”. Guests will perform side-by-side with Grizabella and help bring the technicolor dreamcoat to life.

“Madame Tussauds New York Presents Broadway” opens to guests on June 4, 2019.
