Magic Happens, Wondrous Journeys, Fantasmic, and more return to Disneyland in 2024
Calling all dreamers! New and returning favorite daytime parades, nighttime spectaculars, character encounters, and more are coming to Disneyland in 2024, including Magic Happens, Wondrous Journeys, and Fantasmic!
After announcing the full slate of 2024 events, Disneyland has also shared details about the new and returning entertainment guests can look forward to all year.
2024 Entertainment in Disneyland Park
Mickey’s Mix Magic (returns Jan. 8-March 21 and April 15-25, 2024) – Projections, lighting effects, lasers, and toe-tapping tunes turn Disneyland Park into a high-energy, family-friendly dance party (enhanced with fireworks on select evenings).
Magic Happens (returns Feb. 2, 2024) – The fan-favorite daytime parade features magical moments from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films with spectacular floats, artistic costumes, and an energetic musical score.
Wondrous Journeys (returns March 22-April 14, 2024) – Created in 2023 for Disney’s 100th anniversary, the already-beloved nighttime spectacular includes nods to every Walt Disney Animation Studios film over the past century through lighting effects, customized projections, and fireworks.
Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular (returns April 26-Aug. 4, 2024) – The heartwarming nighttime show pays tribute to friendship with a few all-new scenes as part of the limited-time Pixar Fest celebration (enhanced with fireworks on select evenings).
Fantasmic! (returns May 24, 2024) – After being closed since April 2023, the fan-favorite nighttime spectacular is returning to the Rivers of America in 2024 with new special effects, a new battle scene between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent, and the return of the iconic “Peter Pan” scene, which was replaced by the Pirates of the Caribbean in 2016.
Storytelling at the Royal Theatre – Renaissance men Messieurs Smythe and Jones enlist the help of fellow villagers (and the audience) to bring the tales of “Beauty and the Beast” and “Tangled” to life with music and humor.
Live music – Throughout 2024, guests can enjoy the music of the Disneyland Band, the Dapper Dans quartet, and the Straw Hatters on Main Street, U.S.A., plus the Bootstrappers and Jambalaya Jazz Band in New Orleans Square.
Special and seasonal nighttime spectaculars – Disneyland’s 2024 seasonal celebrations and special events will feature specially-themed nighttime spectaculars, including Halloween Screams and Believe… in Holiday Magic.
2024 Entertainment in Disney California Adventure Park
Better Together – A Pixar Pals Celebration! (debuts April 26, 2024, during Pixar Fest) – The all-new daytime parade features favorite friends and new characters from the latest Pixar films, including “Turning Red.”
Disney Junior Dance Party! – Disney Junior characters, including Doc McStuffins and Vampirina, join Mickey Mouse for a kid-friendly dance party.
The Amazing Spider-Man! – Throughout the day, guests can see Spider-Man swing into action above Avengers Campus with acrobatic feats never before seen in a Disney park.
Warriors of Wakanda: The Disciplines of the Dora Milaje – Recruits at Avengers Campus can join Black Panther’s loyal bodyguards for training sessions near Avengers Headquarters.
Doctor Strange: Mysteries of the Mystic Arts – Doctor Strange journeys through an inter-dimensional portal to engage guests with sorcery and illusions from his collection of mysterious relics.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off! – Guests can join Star Lord and Gamora for a dance party featuring rock and roll classics from Peter Quill’s awesome boom box.
Operation: Playtime! – The Green Army Patrol from Pixar’s “Toy Story” convoy the park.
Live music – Throughout 2024, guests can swing to Five & Dime on Buena Vista Street and see live musical performances at the Hollywood Backlot Stage and Paradise Garden Bandstand.
Special seasonal entertainment – Special entertainment during seasonal festivals includes special World of Color shows for Lunar New Year and Disney Festival of Holidays.
In addition to the live entertainment inside the theme parks, Disneyland guests can enjoy a rotating lineup of nighttime musical entertainment at the newly opened Downtown Disney Live! stage and seasonal performances at Disneyland Resort hotels.
