Magic Kingdom Fantasyland expansion construction update – January 2012

We stopped by the Magic Kingdom for a bit yesterday to give you the latest view of the Fantasyland expansion. Below are our video and photo close-ups and descriptions. Click on any of the photos to enlarge them.

Click Here for a look at what guests can see while standing by the Mad Tea Party ride. Use your mouse to click and drag left and right.

If you look down near the Mad Tea Party ride, you’ll notice new horse and cart marks in the pavement, leading to the Storybook Circus area of the new Fantasyland.

Looking from right to left, first up is the new Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride. These are the new elephants. The old ones are being moved from their old location to run next to the new one. It will be dueling Dumbos.

This is the topper on the new Dumbo ride.

Next to Dumbo will be Barnstormer staring the Great Goofini. Notice goofy’s hand and ear marks.

At the end of the Storybook Circus are will be the train station. This is for the steam train that circles the whole theme park.

This is Beast’s Castle. Below it will be the Be Our Guest Restaurant.

And to the far left will be Maurice’s workshop and Belle’s cottage, where guests will be able to visit Enchanted Tales with Belle.

The Storybook Circus area with Dumbo, Barnstormer and the train station are expected to open this spring. Then The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast areas are expected to open late in the summer or in the fall. Next year, look for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Ride to open and more.
