New walkway connecting Magic Kingdom, Grand Floridian coming soon

For guests wanting an easier way to walk between the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Magic Kingdom – your wish has finally come true. Disney has filed a permit for a new walkway connecting the two locations.

The permit was filed on July 5 for the new guest walking path, simply titled “Grand Floridian to MK Walkway.” According to a statement from a Disney spokesperson,

“This walking path from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will give our Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests another convenient way to reach Magic Kingdom Park.”

As of now, the only ways to get from the Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom are by taking the monorail, riding on water taxis, or utilizing other forms of vehicular transportation like Minnie Vans and the bus system.
