Marshmello, TLC to perform at Universal Orlando’s 2020 Mardi Gras

Universal Orlando is celebrating 25 years of letting the good times roll at this year’s Mardi Gras celebration — and they’ve just announced the concert headliners!

UPDATE – 03/13/20, 3:23 p.m. EST: Due to the parks’ temporary closure, Universal’s Mardi Gras celebration will conclude on Sunday, March 15.


UPDATE – 03/13/20: Flo Rida will now be performing on Saturday, March 14, and Sugar Ray will perform on Sunday, March 15. These concerts will replace the previously scheduled acts, The All-American Rejects and Diana Ross; those acts have cancelled their performances.

Universal Orlando will close at the end of the business day on Sunday, March 15, and anticipates to be closed through the end of the month.


Universal’s Mardi Gras 2020 will run daily from Feb. 1 – April 2. For 16 select nights during the event, guests can see performances by some of music’s biggest names, including DJ and producer Marshmello, Luis Fonsi (“Despacito”), and the best-selling American girl group of all time, TLC (“No Scrubs,” “Waterfalls”). This year’s Mardi Gras theme will be “Treasures of the Deep,” showcased in the nightly parade that travels through the streets of Universal Studios Florida with detailed floats, dancers, and stilt performers. This year’s parade will debut six new floats inspired by mystical creatures of the deep, the sunken city of Atlantis and more. Fan-favorite floats, including the Riverboat and King Gator, will return with new décor to celebrate 25 years.

Guests can enjoy authentic Cajun cuisine at The French Quarter Courtyard and performances by bands straight from Bourbon Street. New for this year’s event, guests can enjoy new food and beverage offerings at the Carnival Around the Universe tasting tent, which will offer dishes inspired by carnivals worldwide. New menu items will debut bi-weekly throughout the event. Add-on experiences like the Bayou Boil and Mardi Gras Tasting Lanyard will return.
