McDonald’s Happy Meal toys celebrate Disney World’s 50th anniversary

In 2021, McDonald’s released the first collection of special-edition Happy Meal toys to mark Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, and now, eight new Walt Disney World-themed toys are continuing the celebration.

“As we continue our celebration of 50 years of magic during the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary, McDonald’s’ latest Happy Meal Toys are a fun and collectible addition to commemorate the anniversary,” wrote Disney Marketing Partnerships & Promotions Copywriter Olivia Usitalo in the Disney Parks Blog. “The collection features Mickey and Friends posed in vehicles from a few of our favorite attractions across property. And as a special surprise, select toys have golden accents in their design!”

The new Walt Disney World 50th anniversary toy collection includes Mickey and Minnie riding (what else?) Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, a dizzy Donald spinning on the Mad Tea Party (complete with a hidden Mickey), Pluto skippering the Jungle Cruise, and Goofy narrowly escaping the Yeti on Expedition Everest.

McDonald’s is also giving fans a chance to win a vacation for four to experience the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration in person. To enter, all you have to do is add a Happy Meal to your mobile order by May 22, 2022.

  1. New? Like as in exactly the same ones released and recalled last year? I didn’t get all of them then and then never picked up the others from eBay.

  2. I am sorry but these toys are not for the 50th.
They are leftover from when they first rolled them out to promote Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
    How do I know?
Because I already have Mickey riding the Spaceship from Mission Space and Daisy riding Soarin.
Nice try Disney, way to try to make money because the pandemic interrupted your promotion.
