Looking for ways to get schwifty, or get your squanch on? Well, it looks like you might be in luck. The demands of Rick Sanchez have been met. For one day only starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, select McDonald’s locations will be serving Rick’s favorite limited edition dipping sauce: the Mulan Szechuan McNugget Sauce.
McDonald’s will be celebrating the release of their buttermilk crispy tenders with an accompanying line of signature sauces. Other than the now cult favorite Szechuan Sauce, McDonald’s will be serving up Tangy BBQ, Sweet & Sour, Sriracha Mac and plenty of other unique combinations. If you currently reside in Orlando in Rick and Morty’s Dimension C-137, the participating McDonald’s include:
• 4294 N. Alafaya Trail (Szechuan)
• 12301 E. Colonial Drive
• 7055 Narcoossee Road
• 4075 Millenia Blvd.
• 12300 Lake Underhill Road
• 2701 East Colonial Drive
If you are looking for that sweet Szechuan Mcnugget sauce in Orlando, be ready, as only the Alafaya Trail location will have it. If you are without a portal gun, we recommend you get to the location early, as it has been stated to be a limited, first-come, first-serve offering. In bird culture, that would be considered a clever marketing ploy.
McDonald’s Szechuan Sauce originally debuted as a tie-in with the release of Disney’s “Mulan” in 1998. The sauce hasn’t been available since. That is, until the season 3 premiere of Adult Swim’s “Rick & Morty”, where a ticked-off Rick goes on a constant tangent about how good the sauce was. Judging by the space portal on the newest poster for the Szechuan Sauce, we can tell a very different cartoon from Mulan inspired the sauce’s return this time around.
