The McDonald’s universe expands with CosMc’s
McDonald’s has started a limited-time test of CosMc’s, a new, small-format concept with a menu showcasing “otherworldly” beverages and a small selection of food items (including a few McDonald’s favorites)
According to McDonald’s, CosMc’s is “rooted in beverage exploration, with bold and unexpected flavor combinations, vibrant colors, and functional boosts.”
Who is CosMc?
The brand’s website explains that CosMc is an alien who regularly visited McDonaldland:
It’s been more than 30 years since CosMc was seen on Earth. The alien would often drop by McDonaldland on “trade missions” to steal food and take it home to CosMcland. But during one mission in the late ’80s, CosMc got all six hands on McDonald’s menu items…and never returned.
In another galaxy, CosMc began experimenting with these menu items alongside some unique beverages, ones that would not only complement the food but stand alone as the perfect mood boost for all beings. As the curious creature began slinging these beverages to fellow aliens, it didn’t take long before the entire planet wanted more. Fast.
CosMc’s Menu
The menu features brand-new beverage creations, including specialty lemonades and teas, blended beverages, and both hot and cold coffee drinks, all with customization options like popping boba, flavor syrups, energy or Vitamin C shots, and more.
Food items include a Spicy Queso Sandwich and Savory Hash Brown and Pretzel Bites served with dipping sauces; sweets include a Caramel Fudge Brownie Sundae and a popular McDonald’s McFlurry.
The first CosMc’s is in Bolingbrook, Ill., with more than ten pilot locations expected to be open by the end of 2024.
