MegaCon, the Southeast’s largest fan convention returns to the Tampa Convention Center for another year from Sept. 21-23, 2018.
This year, MegaCon Tampa Bay is expecting to welcome over 30,000 fans throughout the weekend, along with a long list of celebrity guests, programming and more.
Celebrities joining the lineup for the convention include Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Christian Serratos from “The Walking Dead;” Peter Capaldi from “Doctor Who;” Christopher Lloyd of “Back to the Future;” Sean Pertwee and David Mazouz from “Gotham;” Jason David Frank from “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers;” and Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn and John Delancie from “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” More celebrity appearances will be announced leading up to the convention.
“Every year we’re delighted to deliver the ultimate fan experience and star power people wait year round for,” said Andrew Moyes, vice president of Fan Expo HQ. “This year with MegaCon Tampa Bay, we’re bringing the hottest names to the lineup alongside exciting programming for people of all ages.”
Programming highlights for this year’s event include a Harry Potter escape room, Star Wars-themed events, “Back to the Future” DeLorean time machine and an All-Star Voice Actor live script reading.
Three-day passes and single-day tickets are available for purchase online now, with prices starting at $25 on Friday, $40 on Saturday and $30 on Sunday. Discounted ticket prices are available for early bird ticket holders for a limited time.
As a new feature, guests visiting the convention from Orlando can climb aboard the MegaCon Express bus service, a service that will take guests to the front door of MegaCon Tampa Bay. Ticket prices for the bus are as follows:

The bus will pick up convention guests from Coliseum of Comics in Orlando on 4672 Millenia Plaza Way, and drop them off in the traffic circle in front of Tampa Convention Center. All seats must be reserved in advance, and guests are asked to check-in for their bus 15 ahead of the posted schedule. The bus will not wait for late passengers.
