Mei Lee, the Red Panda, debuting soon at Shanghai Disneyland

Debuting this spring at Shanghai Disneyland will be the first ever appearance of Mei Lee, the Red Panda, from Disney Pixar’s “Turning Red.” Shanghai Disneyland will proudly bring out Mei Lee, as well as other famous characters, as part of their Disney100 celebration.

Mei Lee appears to be a huge, huggable, and lovable addition to the Shanghai Disneyland cast of characters. While Shanghai Disneyland has not confirmed her height and size, we assume the Mei Lee, the Red Panda, will be an oversized character like Sulley from Disney Pixar’s “Monsters Inc.”

This is part of the Shanghai Disneyland’s colorful spring event which will occur from March 1 to May 31. Much like Disneyland Park’s Eggstavaganza, Shanghai Disneyland will be decorated with eggs and springtime props.

Sulley and Mike met at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for years. While Mike has “gone back to the Laugh Floor,” Sulley still continues to meet at the Walt Disney Presents area of the park.

The fun doesn’t stop with Mei Lee, the Red Panda. Visitors to Shanghai Disneyland can also expect to see Winnie the Pooh characters in ice cream outfits. This year will also hold the Shanghai Disneyland debut of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Mickey, Minnie, and friends will be found wearing vibrant spring colors in the park very soon.
