Oswald debuts for first time at Shanghai Disneyland

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit will debut at Shanghai Disneyland this year as part of the resort’s Disney100 celebration. The original cartoon character to start it all, this classic animated favorite will be seen at Disney’s newest theme park in Shanghai.

The Oswald fandom has continued to grow. As part of the worldwide Disney100 celebration, new Oswald merchandise is now available. This is part of the Shanghai Disneyland’s colorful spring event which will occur from March 1 to May 31. Much like Disneyland Park’s Eggstavaganza, Shanghai Disneyland will be decorated with eggs and springtime props.

Oswald debuted at Disney California Adventure back in 2014, but this Lunar New Year celebration he was accompanied by his girlfriend Ortensia.

Alongside Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, guests visiting Shanghai Disneyland can expect to see the debut of Mei Lee, the Red Panda. Spring celebrations don’t end there, as Mickey, Minnie and friends can be seen in a colorful set of spring outfits. Winnie the Pooh and friends will also have specialty ice cream themed outfits for a limited time.
