The spectacular sound and light show was custom-designed to surprise 30 special guests who have strong connections to the resort, including Disneyland Paris cast members who have worked at the resort since opening day, Disney VoluntEARS who give their time to philanthropic activities, fans, and loyal guests.

The 30 VIPs started their evening in Disneyland Paris with dinner at Walt’s – an American Restaurant followed by a viewing of “Disney D-Light,” the park’s new 30th-anniversary drone sequence that takes place before the nighttime spectacular “Disney Illuminations.” They then boarded a bus that took them to a surprise destination – the Eiffel Tower.

Guests received a personal welcome by Minnie Mouse, who escorted them to an exclusive viewing area for an incredible show with more than 370 lights that lit up the Trocadéro gardens in front of the monument and a magical finale where Mickey Mouse illuminated the Eiffel Tower in the colors of the 30th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris, all accompanied by the resort’s anniversary theme song, “Un monde qui s’illumine.”

“In 33 years of business, I have never seen such an extraordinary show,” said Binta, a cast member and Disney VoluntEAR, who was surprised to discover this show “beyond what I could have imagined.” Stéphane, another cast member and Disney VoluntEAR, said he was “overwhelmed with emotion when Mickey lit up the Eiffel Tower.”

For 30 years, Disneyland Paris has created magical shows year after year, but as you can see in the video below, by illuminating the Eiffel Tower in the colors of its 30th Anniversary, Europe’s top tourist destination has even outdone itself.
