Ministry of Magic apparates in the Paris-themed Wizarding World at Epic Universe
With the overwhelming success of Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, it should be no surprise to anyone that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter would appear in Universal Epic Universe, only this time (and according to aerial photos from @bioreconstruct), it seems the magical land will be partially themed to “Fantastic Beasts.”
At this point, the only confirmed land in Universal Epic Universe is Super Nintendo World. However, the aerial photos below reinforce rumors of a Harry Potter-themed land with intersecting streets in Paris, the city where “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” takes place. The large show building at the right is most likely a Ministry of Magic, which is expected to house an attraction.
In the next photo, we can see the following:
- 1. A building accessed through a Paris-style courtyard (labeled 1)
- 2 and 3. The land’s two attractions
- 4. Framing for a spire and dome possibly for a replica of the city’s Basilica of the Sacré-Coeur
In the movie, Place Cachée (the magical area of Paris similar to Diagon Alley in London) is located in the Montmarte district near Sacre Coeur.
Additional close-up photos show construction well underway on full-scale Parisian facades, complete with the city’s iconic 19th-century Haussmann roofs, as seen in the movie.
In the photo below, it appears Porte Saint-Denis is being created behind the scaffolding at the center. This arch monument (similar to the Arc de Triomphe) is located in the area of Paris depicted in the movie when Queenie stops in the street after leaving the French Ministry of Magic (arrow marks a recent change).
We’ll be watching as the rumored Wizarding World land continues to materialize in Universal Epic Universe, which is expected to open Summer 2025. You can also sign up for email updates from Universal Orlando Resort.
