New details for Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea
Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that Fantasy Springs, the eighth themed port at Tokyo DisneySea, will open in spring 2024, delayed from the original projected opening date of 2023.
The resort also revealed the names of the port’s three areas, all themed to “magical springs that lead to worlds of Disney fantasy:” Frozen Kingdom, inspired by “Frozen,” Rapunzel’s Forest, inspired by “Tangled,” and Peter Pan’s Never Land inspired by “Peter Pan.” There will also be a new Disney hotel, Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel.
Frozen Kingdom (one attraction + one restaurant) – Set after the events of “Frozen,” Queen Elsa has embraced her powers, and Arendelle has returned to its former glory. At the far end of the village will be towering snow-capped mountains with cascading waterfalls, and near the summit of North Mountain, guests will be able to see Elsa’s ice palace.
Rapunzel’s Forest (one attraction + one restaurant) – The valley features the tower where Rapunzel has lived since she was a child. At night, the forest is bathed in light from the tower and from lamps lining the paths, glowing restaurant and boathouse windows, and lanterns hanging from the boats.
Peter Pan’s Never Land (two attractions + one restaurant) – Guests become a member of the “Lost Kids,” a group of adventurous children who can explore a pirate ship, dine in a secret hideaway, confront pirates, and visit the fairy valley – and Tinker Bell’s home – Pixie Hollow.
Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel – The sixth Disney hotel in Japan will have 475 rooms (419 “deluxe-type” and 56 “luxury-type”) and will feature paintings depicting Disney Princesses as well as floral motifs that continue the world of Fantasy Springs from the Park to the hotel.
