New Disney Frozen Podcast introduces an original adventure
To celebrate the upcoming 10th anniversary of “Frozen” Disney Publishing Worldwide is partnering with ABC Audio and Walt Disney Animation Studios to launch the brand-new, first-of-its-kind Disney Frozen Podcast that further extends the story of the beloved animated film with an original adventure set after the events of “Frozen 2.”
Podcasts promote screen-free family connections, and according to a new study, 94% of kids ages 6-12 who listen to podcasts say they enjoy listening with their family.

Disney Frozen Podcast: Forces of Nature
Season 1 of Disney Frozen Podcast:Forces of Nature, Disney’s first audio-first extension of a Walt Disney animated franchise, will launch in October 2023. The 12-episode podcast will engage young listeners with new characters and an exciting story about” the magical connections of family, forgiveness, and a little curiosity.”

Synopsis:
Queen Anna has a lot on her plate – there are visitors in her kingdom, a friend in need, and even the Duke of Weselton’s nephew skulking around – so when the Spirits of Nature start acting up, she knows she has to solve the problem – and fast – before things get more out of control. But when Anna and Elsa travel to the Enchanted Forest, they find mysterious copper machines disrupting the natural order of things. Who made these machines, and what are they doing in the forest? And more importantly, how do Anna and Elsa stop them?
New Characters:
- Queen Disa – The ruler of Sankershus, a kingdom plagued by floods. She has an expertly scientific mind and loves to understand how all things work. Her father recently passed away and left her the kingdom to look after. She has decided to seek help from Arendelle and wants to ensure she’s repaying them in kind – with science.
- Lord Wolfgang – The Duke of Weselton’s nephew, on an “apology tour” to make amends for his uncle’s bad behavior. He is also desperate to bring honor and trade back to his country, so he arrives to render assistance in any way he can, especially with the application of copper. Lord Wolfgang also has two pet magpies, Astrid and Magnus. (Did you know magpies can talk?)
The podcast also features ABC News’ chief meteorologist Ginger Zee as a voice presenter; however, this is not Zee’s first foray into the world of “Frozen” as she previously hosted ABC Audio’s Inside Frozen 2 podcast.
