New ‘Disney Junior & Friends Playdate’ coming to Disneyland Resort in August
Disney Junior fans won’t want to miss “Disney Junior & Friends Playdate,” a three-day event in Disney California Adventure Park and the Downtown Disney District celebrating the stories of Disney Junior’s hit series on Aug. 18-20, 2023.
Throughout the weekend event, Disneyland Resort guests can enjoy the popular “Disney Junior Dance Party!” plus participate in a find-and-search experience featuring Disney Junior-themed clues around California Adventure Park (on Friday) and Downtown Disney (on Saturday and Sunday).
“Disney Junior & Friends Playdate” on Aug. 18, 2023
The celebration kicks off in Disney California Adventure Park, and includes:
- A Playdate Party Parade featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, Elena of Avalor, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Vampirina, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Goofy, Pluto, and Mira, Royal Detective.
- A special “Disney Junior Live! Playdate” stage show with the world premiere of the new Disney Junior short-form series “Playdate with Winnie the Pooh.”
- The seasonal “Alice’s Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party” Stage will offer a hands-on cupcake decorating experience inspired by the Disney Junior series.
- A “Spidey and his Amazing Friends” photo wall at the Hollywood Backlot
- Playdate Play Zone, featuring Character experiences
- Specialty Food and Beverage Offerings, including Honey Pot Caramel Apple and Tigger Marshmallow Tail from Trolley Treats and Specialty cotton candy at select outdoor vending locations.

The party takes to the streets of the Downtown Disney District and includes:
- Live Entertainment at the Downtown Disney Live! Stage
- Playdate Play Zone, arts & crafts activities
- Special Photo Opportunities, including a “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” photo wall
- Honey Pot Caramel Apple and Tigger Marshmallow Tail at Marceline’s Confectionery
