Walt Disney World announced that a new restaurant, EET by Maneet Chauhan, will open at Disney Springs later this year.

The James Beard Award-winning chef and Food Network star, has partnered with Vivek Deora, an international hospitality entrepreneur, to bring a new restaurant to Disney Springs later this year.

Maneet Chauhan

Born and raised in India, Chef Chauhan developed her skills at the well-respected Culinary Institute of America in New York. Besides being a James Beard Award-winning chef, she has gained accolades as a competitor and judge on several Food Network shows.

Chauhan cooked at many notable restaurants in Chicago and New York before opening her flagship restaurant, Chauhan Ale & Masala House, in Nashville, Tenn., which features a fusion of Indian flavors and southern United States culture.

It was announced via social media that EET by Maneet Chauhan will serve Indian cuisine. The post stated, “New Restaurant Coming to Disney Springs‼️ We are excited to share Maneet Chauhan, the acclaimed James Beard Award-winning chef, and Food Network star, and Vivek Deora, the international hospitality entrepreneur, are bringing their famed Indian cuisine to @DisneySprings with the opening of EET later this year. Be sure to check back for all the updates on this modern, fun Indian-inspired concept!”

At this point, Walt Disney World has not released details about this new restaurant concept, but we can assume EET by Maneet Chauhan will be a modern Indian-inspired concept. Other than that, we’ll need to wait for an official opening date, the level of the restaurant (will it be table service or quick service?), or even the exact location within the Disney Springs complex.

Speculation about EET by Maneet Chauhan

Although Walt Disney World has not officially revealed the exact location for EET by Maneet Chauhan, most signs point to the Marketplace area, and the former site of Wolfgang Puck Express makes sense for various reasons.

EET by Maneet Chauhan, is slated to open this year, which leaves little time for major renovations or to construct a new building like Summer House on the Lake, which is opening soon at Disney Springs. The old Wolfgang Puck Express location should also already have most of the space and technology needed for EET by Maneet Chauhan to operate, which would allow EET by Maneet Chauhan enough flexibility to show off the Indian-style dining.

Last, we do not know if this new restaurant will be quick service or table service (and both are possibilities at this point). The former Wolfgang Puck Express operated at Disney Springs as an elevated quick service, and quick service appears more likely for EET based on the restaurant’s probable location within Disney Springs. Nevertheless, we have nothing official about the style of the restaurant.

Impeccable Expertise and a Magical Ambiance

What we do know is, with the culinary skill of Maneet Chauhan and hospitality expertise of Vivek Deora, EET should produce exceptional cuisine and an enchanting ambiance. We suspect every detail, from decor to service, will be carefully crafted to immerse guests in an Indian dining experience.
