New Disney100 variant covers imagine Minnie and Daisy as Marvel heroines
We’ve seen Mickey as Iron Man and Goofy as Hulk, but new Disney100 variant covers from Marvel imagine Minnie as Captain Marvel and Daisy as Ms. Marvel and Ghost-Spider.
Continuing the year-long variant cover program that puts Disney twists on iconic Marvel Comics moments, three first-of-their-kind covers will feature Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck as Carol Danvers getting ready to go higher, further, and faster in Captain Marvel #1 (2014); Ghost-Spider’s multiverse shattering debut, Edge of Spider-Verse #2 (2014); and Kamala Kahn’s first solo outing in Ms. Marvel #1 (2014), all presented through Marvel’s “What If” lens.
The three reimagined Marvel heroine variant covers by Giada Perissinotto will be found on select upcoming issues of Amazing Spider-Man:
- Amazing Spider-Man #29 on sale July 12, 2023
- Amazing Spider-Man #32 on sale Aug. 23, 2023
- Amazing Spider-Man #33 on sale Sept. 6, 2023
Upcoming Disney100 variant covers are Amazing Spider-Man #25 by Donald Soffritti with colors by Chiara Di Franca (Arancia Studio), which is on sale May 3, 2023, followed by Amazing Spider-Man #27 by Claudio Sciarrone with colors by Enrico Pennazza (Arancia Studio), which is on sale June 7, 2023.
With 12 covers in all, Disney and Marvel fans can look forward to a new Disney100 variant cover (available in both color and black and white versions) hitting stands at local comic book shops each month throughout 2023.
Fans should note that only the covers are Disney-themed; the comics inside are the same Spider-Man stories without any Disney characters.
