New scares coming to Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld San Diego for the event’s second year!
SeaWorld San Diego’s separately ticket adult Halloween event, Howl-O-Scream, is returning to Southern California for its second year. And this time, there’s even more to fear. There will be more scare zones, more intense haunted houses, and more live entertainment. Tickets can now be purchased at a large discount for a limited time.

MORE HAUNTED HOUSES: This year there will be five haunted houses for guests to brave their way through. Returning mazes include Nightmare Experiment, Simon’s Slaughterhouse, and Death Water Bayou. But just because they’re returning doesn’t mean they’re the same mazes as last year. These reimagined mazes are sure to scare even more than before. There will also be two all-new haunted houses with hints of hiding from outsiders from beyond, and coming face to face with freakish and creepy fools.

NEW SCARE ZONES: The park will feature six scare zones with even less room to hide. Whether it’s creepy dolls in the Deadly Toys zone, undead evils in the Graveyard zone, a deadly legend at La Llorona zone, or sinister monsters in the forest at The Hauntings zone. Plus, there will be two all-new scare zones to enjoy throughout Howl-O-Scream.

NEW SHOW & ENTERTAINMENT: Each night of the event will kick off with a SCARE-emony featuring music and immersive introductions to the various characters featured throughout Howl-O-Scream. Plus, 2022 brings a brand new live show to the event. Guests will also experience DJs and party zones for when they need a break between the scares.
COASTERS: For those of you looking for rides in the dark, SeaWorld San Diego has you covered. SeaWorld’s newest coaster and California’s fastest, longest, and floorless dive coaster, Emperor, will bring even more thrills as coaster enthusiasts ride after the sun sets. Other coaster offerings include Electric Eel and Journey to Atlantis.

Guests can currently save up to 55% off with tickets as low as $34.99. Or, if you can’t get enough of the scares, an unlimited ticket is available for $99. But don’t wait. This monster sale ends on August 21, 2022.
If you’d rather scare than be scared, SeaWorld San Diego is looking for hundreds of enthusiastic performers. The park is hosting Scare Squad auditions multiple times a week throughout August. Interested applicants can secure their audition spot by applying online.
