New trailer for ‘SpongeBob Movie’ has Gary go missing, and a wild Keanu Reeves appears

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming CGI film, “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run,” from Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Movies.

This film takes SpongeBob SquarePants and his best friend, Patrick Star, on a wild adventure to find SpongeBob’s beloved pet snail, Gary after he is “snail-napped.”

SpongeBob and Patrick will travel to The Lost City of Atlantic City to bring Gary home, meeting a variety of characters along the way – including a tumbleweed with Keanu Reeves’ face, who calls himself “Sage.”

“The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run” hits theaters on May 22, 2020. Check out the trailer below:
