New trailer released for ‘Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made’ coming to Disney+

A new trailer and release date have been shared for the Disney+ Original Movie, “Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made.”

The film will premiere exclusively on the service on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020. It will also screen in the “Kids” section of the Sundance Film Festival later this month.

Based on the best-selling book of the same name, “Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made” follows the exploits of the quirky and deadpan Timmy Failure, who, alongside his 1,500-pound polar bear partner Total, operates Total Failure, Inc., a Portland detective agency. Timmy (Winslow Fegley) has to navigate the world of adults around him, including his overburdened mother (Ophelia Lovibond), her well-meaning boyfriend (Kyle Bornheimer), his teacher and nemesis (Wallace Shawn), and a school-mandated guidance counselor (Craig Robinson) as he continues on his quest to become the best detective in the world.

The film is directed by Tom McCarthy, and is written by McCarthy and Stephen Patsis (author of the book).
