As Walt Disney World’s Resort hotels go through their phased reopening, Disney has shared a look at the new barn at Tri-Circle-D Ranch.

Tri-Circle-D Ranch was part of Walt Disney’s vision to bring horses t Magic Kingdom like he did with Disneyland; to make his wish come true, the ranch was established before opening day of Walt Disney World Resort.

The new barn, located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, was announced back in August 2019. The stable features larger stalls for the horses, as well as 10 additional stalls, with each one equipped with automatic water stations. The barn is more than twice the size of the original with two tack rooms, a wedding harness room that showcases tack for Cinderella’s ponies, and the return of the museum dedicated to Walt’s love of horses.

Along with the museum, another piece of Disney history returned to the barn: the 1907 Dragon Calliope. Walt Disney purchased the horse-drawn musical wagon for Disneyland park in the 1950s, and it’s currently on display at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

Walt Disney World got another new addition recently – the birth of Violet, a pony foal born at the new stable.

Tri-Circle-D Ranch is a short distance away from its original location, just around the corner from the bus loop by Pioneer Hall.
