Nintendo to open its own museum, ‘Nintendo Gallery’ in Kyoto by 2024

Nintendo has announced plans to convert an old factory building into Nintendo Gallery, a new museum set to open in Kyoto, Japan by March 2024.

The former Nintendo Uji Ogura Plant — built in 1969 — and the land surrounding the building will be repurposed into the Nintendo Gallery, which will showcase the many products the company has launched across its history.

The facility, which is only tentatively named “Nintendo Gallery,” will showcase Nintendo’s historical products alongside exhibits and experiences. The museum is expected to be completed within the 2023 Fiscal Year, which ends in March 2024.
