No more virtual queues at Walt Disney World for Tiana, Guardians
Virtual queues will no longer be required to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Walt Disney World.

“It’s a joyful celebration! You don’t need an invitation!”
Princess Tiana sings these lyrics in her song “Special Spice” during Tiana’s Bayou Adventure — the log flume that replaced Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom and opened in 2024 — but now, they’re finally true.
Effective Feb. 25, 2025, guests can ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure by simply hopping in line at any point throughout the day. The same goes for the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster at Epcot. Disney shared the news with Attractions Magazine on Feb. 18.
Disney will continue to utilize virtual queues for special events like runDisney races or merchandise drops. Additionally, in the future, Disney may implement a virtual queue in the short term for new attractions. The intention, however, is that any given ride’s virtual queue would be temporary rather than in place for several years.

Guardians opened in May 2022, and when it’s all said and done will have used a virtual queue for 1,005 days. Tiana’s opened in June 2024, and will have utilized a virtual queue for 255 days. By comparison, the Disneyland version of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened in November 2024 and likewise implemented a virtual queue upon opening, but eliminated the requirement less than a month after the ride opened.
The existing Lightning Lane procedures will remain in place (for purchase) for each attraction: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is available as part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Magic Kingdom, while Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind remains available via Lightning Lane Single Pass at Epcot.
Both attractions currently require visitors to join a free virtual queue or purchase access to the Lightning Lane expedited entry, both acquired through the My Disney Experience app. This effectively meant hopeful riders without prior knowledge of these protocols had no way of riding these attractions; walk-ups were not allowed.

Earlier this month, we spoke with travel journalist Genevieve Shaw Brown about tips for planning a low-stress Disney vacation.
