Character guide for Oogie Boogie Bash 2024

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party has officially returned for the 2024 spooky season at Disney California Adventure. If you’re looking for Disney characters at Oogie Boogie Bash, you’ll find plenty of them, from exclusive villains you won’t see anywhere else (Dr. Doofenshmirtz! Ernesto de la Cruz!) to classic pals dressed in special costumes (Mickey and Goofy in “Kingdom Hearts” gear!).

Disney Villains appearing at Treat Trails

During Oogie Boogie Bash Treat Trails, guests walk in a continuously moving line while a Disney villain stands on a distanced platform and interacts with passersby. You can walk semi-slowly as you approach the villain, but you won’t be able to pose with them for a photo like you would during a traditional meet & greet. Also on Treat Trails, as the name implies, cast members load your trick-or-treat bag up with candy and/or snacks.

According to the Disneyland app, all character Treat Trails at Oogie Boogie Bash operate from 6:30 – 11 p.m.

Characters with traditional meet & greets at Oogie Boogie Bash

Traditional meet & greets involve standing in a line and waiting your turn for an individualized moment with the characters, including photos and hugs. Due to the party being a special event, characters at Oogie Boogie Bash may or may not sign autographs.

Oogie Boogie Bash characters’ times and locations only appear in the Disneyland app once the party starts at 6 p.m., so if you’re trying to see those earlier in the day, you’ll need to wait until the party officially begins.
