Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party coming to Disney California Adventure

The Disneyland Resort is introducing a brand-new event for guests of all ages to enjoy this Halloween season – Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure park.

This separately-ticketed event will feature many new experiences, including the new “World of Color” spectacular – “Villainous!” and an interactive “Descendants”-inspired dance party, as well as a new stage show with Mickey Mouse, and a mysterious Disney villains walk-through experience.

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party will bring dreadful delights to Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort from Sept. 6 – Oct. 31, 2019.

Check out more details on the event’s highlights below:

• “Villainous!” – This new “World of Color” show tells a spooky tale about a young girl named Shelley Marie. Shelley will travel on a journey as she explores the villainous side of Disney characters through fountains, lights, lasers, projections, and special effects.
• Redwood Creek Challenge Trail – The trail will be transformed into an etherial Disney Villains walk-through experience with a series of scenes creating a dream-space of color, sound, light and shadows, as stories from the darkest night create an enchanting experience.
• Immersive Treat Trails – Guests can enjoy trick-or-treating at new treat trails throughout the park. Characters like Mad Hatter from Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” and even Oogie Boogie himself might make an appearance. Additional treat trails will feature oversized cauldrons full of candy to take.
• DescenDance – This new dance party in the Backlot area of Hollywood Land will be inspired by Disney Channel’s “Decendants”. As the dance party begins, a spell is cast and a dance crew form the Isle of the Lost will appear to show off their moves to hit songs from the “Descendants” films.
• “Frightfully Fun Parade” – This guest-favorite parade is coming to Disney California Adventure park for the first time ever! See Mickey, Minnie, the Headless Horseman, and all your other favorite characters as they march along the parade route.
• Mickey’s Trick and Treat Show – This interactive stage show is great for younger guests, where they can watch Mickey and his pals throw a one-of-a-kind Halloween party at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land.
• Character Encounters – Guests can meet their favorite Disney characters and villains all night during the Halloween festivities.

Oogie Boogie Bash will take place on the following dates:

• Sept. 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, and 29
• Oct. 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, 29, and 31

Tickets will go on sale on April 23 for Disneyland Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club members and Disney Visa card holders; the general public can start picking up their tickets on April 30.

Early entry into the park before the party starts at 7 p.m. PST and is included with an Oogie Boogie Bash ticket. Guests will have the chance to play int he park for three hours before the event begins on Tuesday and Thursday nights (excluding Oct. 29 and 31) or four hours on Sunday nights, plus Oct. 29 and 31.

There’s no announced reason as to why the Halloween festivities are being moved from Disneyland park to Disney California Adventure, but we think it could be a result of expected crowds coming to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which opens next month.
