Orange County, Florida declares Dec. 3 as ‘Walt Disney World Day’

It’s official! Walt Disney World Resort now has its own proclaimed “day” in Orlando, Fla.

Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer were on-hand today to officially proclaim Dec. 3, 2021 as “Walt Disney World Day” in honor of the resort’s 50th anniversary.

Proclamations of the day were presented at an event that took place at Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. After the announcement, Disney VoluntEARS packaged 535 boxes of meals for families in need throughout Central Florida.

Disney celebrated the occasion by sharing photos of cast members, and releasing special Walt Disney World Day GIPHY stickers on social media.
