Looking for something special yet different for this Valentines Day? Well I found a few events that might just work out for you – everything from dolphins to dinosaurs.

First we have a special at Discovery Cover. Discovery Cove is a water based theme park that offers dolphin encounters, snorkeling in a tropical reef and a wonderful free-flight aviary with birds from all over the world. They are offering three different Valentine’s Day packages.

The Valentine’s Honey Package (Priced at $74.95 and up) includes a souvenir photo and frame, chocolates and a special keepsake buoy that has a personalized massage written on it delivered to your loved one by an Atlantic bottlenose dolphin.

The Valentine’s Sweetheart Package (Priced at $215.95) includes everything in the Honey Package above plus a dozen red roses, a private cabana, a bottle of champagne, and two toasting flutes. Sounds romantic.

The Valentine’s Romance Package (Priced at $295.95) includes everything from both the Honey Package and the Sweetheart Package and adds a champagne chiller as well as a souvenir DVD of the Discovery Cove day. What more could a person want?

Another Valentine’s special I found was at Pirate’s Dinner Adventure. They are offering a special dinner package on Feb. 12, 13, and 14.

The package includes admission to the show with Captain’s upgraded seating (second row), access to Governor’s VIP lounge and upgraded appetizers. You’ll also get your own Valentine’s announcement during the King’s festival, a Champagne toast, souvenirs at your table, a photo opportunity on stage with cast members after the show and a flower for the ladies. The estimated value is $100 but they are offering it for $69.95 per person. Tax and gratuity are not included.

For information and reservations, call 1-800-866-2469. This package is available to a limited amount of guests at each show. More information is available Here.

If pirates are not your thing, then maybe you’d like something a bit more on the artsy side.

Fresh is a culinary performance art event for Valentines. Couples enter a Willy Wonka-like edible fantasy world where they’ll watch dancers perform with food (including coffee grounds, fruit juices and a 10-foot waterfall), stroll through an art and candy market, indulge in a four-course hands on dinner and have the option of participating in a couples body paint workshop.

The couples events will take place Feb. 11 and 12 at 8 p.m., Feb. 13 at 6:30 and 9 p.m. and Feb. 14 at 6 and 8:30 p.m.

There will also be a Friends & Singles Brunch at noon on Feb. 13, and The Big Gay Brunch at noon on Valentine’s Day.

Tickets range from $55 to $107.50 per person, which include all food and performance elements. Alcohol will be available for purchase at a special garden-themed cash bar. Complimentary childcare with art activities is available for children 2 to 10 on Feb. 13 and 14 during the evening performances.

All events will take place at the Cameo in downtown Orlando. Tickets are available at ILoveDRIP.com or by calling 517-449-3765

For the kids, Nickelodeon Suites Resort is offering “Cosmo & Wanda’s Sweetheart Exchange”. Kids can meet the couple from The Fairly OddParents at 1 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, where they will be waiting with a hug and a special Valentine just for them.

You can reach Nickelodeon Suites at 407-387-5437 or visit nickhotel.com

Finally, Dinosaur World is having a ‘Bring your Sweetheart for Free” on Valentine’s Day special. This is one adult free with one paid adult admission (one sweetie per person). They are also offering 50% off admission every Sunday in February if you bring in two canned goods. All canned goods will be donated to the local food bank so it’s for a great cause.

Dinosaur World is located in Plant City, Fla. Take I-4 west to exit 17 and stop when you see the big Dinosaurs. Rawwwwwhhh!

I hope you can take advantage of one of these fun adventures and have a great Valentine’s Day.
