Patriot’s Run roller coaster opening in 2026 in New Jersey for America’s 250th anniversary
The Patriot’s Run roller coaster will debut at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in 2026, bringing a patriotic red, white, and blue thrill ride to the Jersey Shore.

Significant changes are on the horizon at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk. The Jersey Shore amusement destination revealed plans for a brand-new roller coaster, Patriot’s Run, opening in 2026. Standing more than 35 feet tall, Patriot’s Run roller coaster will feature a traditional lift hill followed by a cycle of twists and turns. Designed with bold red, white, and blue theming, the new coaster is both a nod to classic seaside attractions and a celebration of America’s upcoming 250th birthday in 2026.
Jenkinson’s Amusement Park is home to 28 rides, many catering to younger children and families.
Honoring the past, celebrating the future
Patriot’s Run will rise on the site once occupied by the Flitzer, a ride remembered for its compact twists and signature racing flame designs. Marketing & brand manager Alex Taylor explained that the new coaster draws direct inspiration from the Flitzer.
“Patriot’s Run shares many similarities with the Flitzer in both style and spirit,” Taylor said. “We’ve reimagined the flames with an American flag design, making the coaster both a tribute to our past and a celebration of America 250.”
The ride will also take over the spot formerly held by Tidal Wave, a longtime guest favorite.

According to Taylor, Patriot’s Run roller coaster represents Jenkinson’s commitment to evolving with its guests while staying true to its family-first spirit. “At Jenkinson’s, we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to enhance our amusement park,” Taylor noted. “Patriot’s Run will celebrate America’s 250th milestone while giving families a thrilling new ride to share together.”
