From Walt Disney Pictures and director Joachim Rønning (“Young Woman and the Sea,” “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil”) “Tron: Ares” debuts in theaters Oct. 10, 2025. The cast includes Jared Leto, Greta Lee, and Evan Peters.

As moviegoers head to their local cineplexes, they can stock up on popcorn and soft drinks housed in collectible containers from Regal Cinemas, AMC Theatres, and Cinemark Theatres (while supplies lasts).

Regal, AMC, and Cinemark will all sell what seems to be an identical (or otherwise very similar) popcorn bucket in the shape of a Lightcycle, the travel mode of choice in the “Tron” films, as well as the ride vehicle for the Tron Lightcycle / Run roller coaster at Magic Kingdom. It lights up!

To celebrate the release of “Tron: Ares,” Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida will debut a limited-time red version of Tron Lightcycle / Run, temporarily replacing the coaster’s blue lighting package. The new version will also include music by Nine Inch Nails. The overlay begins Sept. 15, 2025, as announced on Aug. 30 at Destination D23.
