The novels tell the story of Perseus “Percy” Jackson, who, at the start of the series, discovers that he is a demigod and the son of the Greek god Poseidon. The series includes the books “The Lightning Thief,” “The Sea of Monsters,” “The Titan’s Curse,” “The Battle of the Labyrinth,” and “The Last Olympian.”
Previously, “The Lightning Thief” and “Sea of Monsters” were adapted into feature films by 20th Century Fox, now 20th Century Studios, starring Logan Lerman as Percy. At this time, no one from the films is believed to be involved in the new series, according to Variety.
