Personal Watercraft Racing Tour comes to Cypress Gardens

If you are a fan of personal watercraft or love competitive water sports, you will not want to miss the Hot Water Tour jet ski competition coming to Cypress Gardens this weekend. Be sure to catch the freestyle segment that “highlights the acrobatical abilities of these highly specialized athletes and their watercraft.” The experienced racers will vie for Hot Water Tour and Region Seven titles. This is also the first race for the 2008 National Highpoints. In between the qualifying and final heats, guests will enjoy the world famous ski show.

Throughout the event, park guests can jam to the lakeside bands performing extreme alternative music. A $20 special event ticket is available to guests that bring a Hot Water Tour flyer to the Best Western Admirals Inn near Cypress Gardens from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday. The $20 ticket can also be purchased at Cypress Gardens on the day of the event (flyer must be presented) or online at www.hotwatertour.com. The ticket is good for admission into the park on both days of the competition.

The Hot Water Tour is sanctioned by the American Power Boat Association (APBA) therefore all participants must be current APBA competition members and present proof of valid membership in order to compete.
